Work on our house started early January 2022 with our downstairs layout being reconfigured to create a larger kitchen, utility room and office. From the off, the team were a pleasure to have around. They were very mindful of our needs as we remained living and working in the house – with the work at one point being carefully choreographed to ensure minimal noise and no power cuts during our son’s online exams! The temporary kitchen created for us in the conservatory was a sight to behold and made living with building works around us fairly painless.
Matt fostered a great team spirit and it was clear how well the team all got on, all leaning on each other, focused on producing their best work. So many examples of this – one which stood out was the removal of a door frame so the tile pattern on the floor remained uninterrupted in a corner of the hallway. We still notice how good that looks 3 years on.
We are so pleased Matt and the team did our renovations. One other big thing is to stress the word DESIGN in the name. Matt very quickly put his own stamp on the layout, suggesting new ideas and, quite frankly, vastly improving our designs from his first visit! The rest of the team all also quickly made their mark, pre-empting our needs and suggesting how things could be.

We contacted Design Intent undertake a major change to our detached bungalow. It involved taking the roof off completely and creating two large bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms in the new roof area. They also converted the attached garage into a lovely kitchen/diner and transformed the original kitchen into a study.
