Founded in 2013, our journey began with a love for design and a drive to transform spaces into beautiful, functional homes. Our founder, Matthew Lytle, having studied three-dimensional design at university, began his career by purchasing and renovating properties alongside his wife. This hands-on experience in property renovation sparked a deeper interest in home improvement and led to specialising in unique design solutions to create functional living spaces.

It quickly became clear that there was a gap in the local market for conscientious, experienced tradespeople working together to provide a truly complete, finished product. In 2013, we formalised our commitment to quality by establishing Design Intent as a limited company.
